Cobweb Cardigan Knitting Pattern
Cobweb Cardigan Knitting Pattern
Light as a cloud and twice as dreamy, this cardigan is sure to please. Worked at a bulky gauge, you can whip this cardi up in a week! The cardigan is made from the top down, yoke style, and is complimented by three-quarter or full length sleeves. The sweater is designed to be oversized.
YARN: 330/330/360/390/420/510/570 m of a bulky mohair or similar yarn. This cardigan has been worked up in two different yarns. The fawn colored sweater is made with Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk held double (each is 25g/140m, buy double the yardage listed above). The white sweater is made with the now discontinued Scheepjes Mohair Original (ea 30m/20g).
Yarn subs: be sure to look for a hairy yarn that is quite fluffy. If you’re using a weight designation lighter than bulky, try holding the yarn double and knit a gauge swatch to ensure it gives the effect you’re looking for.
NEEDLES:
8 mm & 10 mm 24” circular needles, as well as 8 mm and 10 mm double-pointed needles.
GAUGE: With 10 mm needles in stockinette, 10 sts x 12 rows.
MEASUREMENTS/SIZING: 36/38/40/42/44/47/50” (with 4” positive ease, loose-oversized fit).
OTHER MATERIALS REQUIRED: Stitch holders, stitch markers.
