An alternative to thumb twiddling
My grandma was always twiddling her thumbs if she had to be sitting somewhere. She was never good at sitting still. I guess I inherited that trait. If the devil finds work for idle hands, I’ll never be at risk.
I began knitting and crocheting steadily in 2012, and quickly thereafter created my first pattern. I still provide pattern support to those in need, but haven’t created new patterns in a while as I’ve been captured by a love for throwing pots. I took my first pottery class over a decade ago and have been practicing on and off ever since. The real game changer for me was having the space to have my own kiln in the last few years. The more I work with clay, the more I am smitten, and the ideas flow and flow. It’s a good life.
