Knitting Pattern for the Candyfloss Hat
Knitting Pattern for the Candyfloss Hat
The Candyfloss Hat can be made with a bulky mohair or a lighter-weight mohair held double. I’ve knit this up in both a mohair and an alpaca-silk blend, and found both options worked very well. This is a lightweight, lacy hat with a bit of slouch = updated classy. Check out the pattern for the Candyfloss Scarf & Cowl if you’re looking to make a matching winter set!
YARN
- 90/110/130 m of bulky mohair or other fluffy wool, or a worsted to Aran weight mohair or other blend held double (therefore requiring double the yardage).
Note: The fawn-colored version in the pictures was made with Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk held double (2 balls required, each ball = 25g/140m). The hat in white was knit with the now discontinued Scheepjes Original Mohair (single strand).
