Sticks and Stones
Sticks and stones is a quick and easy project that can be made up in a night or two (a great last-minute gift!). It’s got a modern look that also reaches back to the late 70s and early 80s, especially with the oatmeal and brown yarn colour choices. This is a excellent beginner project that requires single crochet and double crochet stitches, as well as knowing how to work through the front loops of stitches.
Size: 60" long and 14" wide.
Materials: 3 balls of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in Oatmeal (106 yds/ball) + 1 ball of Rowan Pure Wool in dark brown.
Gauge: 6 dc x 3 rows = 4" (with the super bulky wool & the 11.5 mm hook).
Other Materials: Embroidery needle to attach pockets.
Hook Sizes: 11.5 mm hook + 5 mm hook (or size required to obtain gauge).
