For me, a great grandpa sweater must be warm and woolly, have a shawl collar and pockets, and have a bit of an oversized fit. It doesn't hurt for it to have a bit of fair isle colorwork, and it should also look good on men and women alike. This pattern is my interpretation of the gramps genre, and I hope you'll feel as cozy in it as I do.
Size: 34"/36"/38"/42"/48"/52" around chest (oversized fit)
Materials: Rowan Pure Wool Superwash Worsted; 100g/200m per ball. In: Clove - 5/6/6/7/7/8, Gold - 1/1/1/1/1/1, Bottle - 1/1/2/2/2/2, and Rust - 1/1/1/1/1/1.
Hook/Needle Size: 5mm straight or circular needles (or size necessary to obtain gauge) & 4mm 32-inch circular needles. (or one size smaller than main needles).
